A Prospective Pilot Study in Clinical Practice

The study was a prospective, single-arm pilot feasibility study involving 29 physicians and medical students across multiple specialties in Portuguese healthcare institutions. Participants used DR. INFO v1.0 over five working days within two weeks, completing daily Likert-scale evaluations on perceived time saving and decision support, followed by a final Net Promoter Score evaluation.

The study focused on physician-perceived value. It did not test patient outcomes, make claims about autonomous diagnosis, or position DR. INFO as a replacement for clinical judgment.

Perceived time saving was rated 4.27 out of 5 (95% CI 3.97 to 4.57) and decision support 4.16 out of 5 (95% CI 3.86 to 4.45). Ratings remained stable across the five-day study period.

Among the 16 of 29 participants who completed the final evaluation, DR. INFO achieved a Net Promoter Score of 81.2 with no detractors. Under conservative assumptions for non-response, the NPS was 44.8. These findings suggest that participating physicians found DR. INFO useful for time efficiency and decision support during the study period.

Interpreting the Findings Carefully

This was a small pilot feasibility study with a single-arm design. It measured physician perceptions, not independent clinical accuracy, diagnostic performance, treatment outcomes, or patient-level impact.
