DR. INFO and Portugal's Society of Internal Medicine Collaborate on Clinical AI

The Sociedade Portuguesa de Medicina Interna, the Portuguese Society of Internal Medicine, and DR. INFO are launching a collaboration for the responsible use of clinical AI in Portugal.

The partnership is aimed at physicians in internal medicine. It is intended to ease access to reliable, source-based medical information while promoting a reflective use of AI in everyday clinical practice.

Internal medicine is the specialty of complexity. Many patients suffer not from a single condition, but from several at once. Diagnoses overlap, symptoms remain ambiguous, and guidelines change. For physicians, this creates a high need for current, dependable, and quickly available information.

DR. INFO is a CE-marked clinical AI assistant developed for this purpose. The platform supports physicians in searching, reviewing, and contextualizing medical information against traceable sources. It is intended not to replace clinical thinking, but to structure and complement it.

With this collaboration, SPMI and DR. INFO want to foster a model in which AI in medicine is used transparently, responsibly, and under physician control. The decision stays with the physician; the technology provides orientation, sources, and structure.
